Payment and Services

Payment is expected before services are rendered, and your particular plan is outlined in our services agreement. This agreement is permanently available to download from the installation product page. (in our client area)

A record of your purchase history can also be found in your customer account area. New customers always have a 30 day money back guarantee at Edwards Hosting which begins at payment date (unless specified otherwise in your agreement).

*Monthly-pay accounts are self monitored so please be aware that we will only notify you once by email when payment is due. If your account payment is 14 days in arrears it will be terminated.

*Annually paid accounts are notified 30 days prior to renewal by email. Normally we will contact you twice if there is no initial response, after which the account will be terminated when 14 days past due.

Hosting plans are payable monthly or annually. To pay annually, just add the number of months desired (12 - 24) to your shopping cart before checkout. There is a 17% discount applied at the 12 month level and above.

It is important to note that we are not [primarily] in the business of marketing or creating content for your site. If content creation or marketing services are required, there will be additional charges.

Support

Support is provided to all customers via our support contact form or by emailing support@emdwebservices.com. Generally we will respond within the hour, but always within 24 hours. Issues other than routine content updates, such as customization of your website template or functionality can take longer than 24 hours to resolve.

Acceptable Use

We do not host pornographic material, politically inflamitory content, hater content, or spammers. If you have a question about specific content, or you just aren't sure if your project falls in one of these categories, please contact us.

Cancellation

In the event you would like to close your account with emdwebservices, simply call or email us... For customers who have a positive account balance, a refund for unused hosting will be issued within 24 hours. emdwebservices also retains the right to discontinue service to anyone for any reason.

Your website files/databases are always freely available should you want to leave emdwebservices - just contact us and we will download your preference of csv or sql database files. This policy applies to active accounts only and does not include migrating entire accounts to other servers.

Pertaining to all packages

Besides what has already been mentioned and outlined, each account will have at least five email accounts available - Larger organizations may have an additional account for each editor. Spamming is strictly prohibited. All newsletters sent must be double opt-in, contain company contact information, and have unsubscribe links in them. We will provide suitable email templates at no charge and limited optional design.

Every website we host has nightly backups in the datacenter and weekly offsite backups. For larger organizations data will be backed up either monthly or bi-weekly to offline storage drives or dvd's.

None of our clients are subjected to "shared" hosting - each site is hosted on one of our constantly monitored servers which has a strict limit to number of accounts as well as traffic, and no third party access is granted.

No client shell (or server account control panel) access is granted. For the safety of our customer's data, only our system admin's and programers have access to our systems.
